Tonight is Halloween.  Really one of my favorite nights. I mean, in the SCA I can dress up all the time as someone from another time, but tonight I can be ANYTHING at all.  And tonight, I'm the Roaming Gnome from the Travelocity commercials.  I plan to wear my costume to Park Slope, sit in the Tea Lounge and sip tea while people giggle and stare at me. I really enjoyed watching the kids run around trick or treating last year from my perch in the window of my favorite coffee place.  Tonight I'm doing it again. My only wish is that my sweetie could be with me, but he has to teach. Sigh.  It's going to be so much fun! Then I'll bring home my own treat - a slice of carrot cake from Pizza Plus, my favorite restaurant in Park Slope.  I'll curl up for a bit in front of the TV, then back to work.
